Suixtil El Gaupo Helmet

Handcrafted in Argentina the Suixtil El Guapo replica helmet is a faithful replica of the helmet that accompanied Luigi Musso at most of his races. The name – you just need to take a good look at this racer’s angel face to understand where it comes from. As to his character, let it be known that he certainly was no angel on the track but we unfortunately will never know how good he truly was as his career was cut much too short by his fatal accident at the ’58 French Grand Prix.

The helmet shell is built from a base molded from resin  and fibres whilst the inside is lined with natural cork  of 3 mm (0.11 in) thickness.  All straps are crafted from the finest real cow leather while the padding and covers are stitched from 100% cotton. This beautiful piece is sure to attract a lot of attention with its gorgeous patina and is crafted to the highest standard.  It arrives nicely packed in a linen bag that you can use whenever taking the helmet to a track day or an event. Ideal for open top driving or historic events.

El Gaupo comes in 3 sizes (thanks to an easy to install foam adjustment ring) that accommodates head sizes from 56 to 64 cm (22 to 25.5′) and is delivered by courier within 7 days of its order.
